To all Mothers
I understand and salute you
One day of the year is NOTHING
compared to the other 364
that goes by with large doses
of being misunderstood
...despite good intentions
of endless complaints
...despite best efforts
of lonely fears
...so everyone else will stay brave
of unfinished self expressions
...because little hungry tummies can't wait
and baths and sleep mean the world to a 2 year old.
Unsung heroes
for the most part..
but more than praise and thank you,
more than anything..
we would like to be GIRLS again
carefree and pretty
and for everyone to
put down all their expectations.
Just because i am MOM
does not mean i am no longer ME
